Drop, the winner of the TechCrunch Boston Pitch-Off, has today announced the close of a $1.25 million Series A round led by Atlas Ventures and Spark Capital. The location-based messaging platform has also introduced a new version of the app alongside the announcement.
Drop, for those of you who haven’t heard yet, is an app that lets you leave or send messages to people that are all based around location. The recipient won’t get the message, or Drop, until they are in a specified geographic location.
With the new update, Drop now allows users to leave messages for an entire group of people, as opposed to one-to-one communication.
